“We bought a new SAN, and I was given some misinformation from the SAN company on the install process. We did what they told us we could do and we ended up with data corruption across the entire LUN,” recounts Jeff.

But the team at Brooks Network Services was prepared: they had put ShadowProtect SPX into use. “I made sure that we had data protection for both physical and virtual environments, with backups being created every 30 minutes. I was able to recover the LUN, move it to a newly created LUN, and get the city’s data back.

Without StorageCraft, we probably would have lost everything,” he adds. For Jeff, recovery was a success. The town systems were only briefly offline while he restored the database.

Jeff is impressed with the product’s ease of use and adds that he also received excellent support on the incident from both his account managers and StorageCraft Support via the technical support line.

“The tech support has always been great; anytime I call in, I get someone who is knowledgeable and very responsive. Equally important was the support from the sales team, Mark Deal and Carl Bjerke. Even though they sold me the product, they helped get it implemented, and they are also around to help when I need something,” Jeff says. Jeff is happy to see a corporation still caring and looking out for its customers, and he recommends StorageCraft products and services.

“I like building relationships with the company. You are not just a person out there to get more money from; they [StorageCraft] will actually create a relationship with you.
